Michael Adams ... is just like LeBron James
Central Times: What is your favorite sport and why?
Michael Adams: Football, because it is exciting…and I like to be QB.
CT: The female winner of Athlete of the Year was Stephanie Pogwizd. What can you say about her athletic career at Central?
MA: Without Steph out there, the basketball and volleyball teams wouldn’t have been as good. Steph is also a good motivator and got the players ready to play before every game and pushed the girls in practice. Steph is just an overall great athlete.
CT: You can go back and relive one moment from your entire athletic high school career. What moment and why?
MA: Beating Marmion at Marmion in football junior year. We didn’t win many football games, so when we did we enjoyed every second of it and especially beating Marmion when no one thought we could.
CT: You can go back to one moment, and do it all over again. Which one and why?
MA: I would like to back to March 6th to crush Oswego.
CT: Who are two athletes—outside of yourself and Stephanie Pogwizd—that you enjoy watching play and who could have, in your eyes, won Athlete of the Year if you two hadn’t won.
MA: Anthony Kelley and Kristin Brouch.
CT: Who is a professional athlete you would most compare your game to?
MA: LeBron James.
CT: What is the thing you’ll miss most about high school and why?
MA: The past two years of basketball. I have never had that much fun in a sport. The stands were packed on our side every game … and we got treats after every win.
